This extraordinary show marked the first collaboration of its kind, presenting works by a select group of artists from Japan, Taiwan, and the United States.
Teaching and Leadership
In addition to her achievements as an artist, Ms. Feng has been a dedicated art teacher for many years. She has introduced the traditional sumi-e watercolor technique and its cultural heritage to students across America, and her passion for teaching has only grown over time. She founded Sally Studio Art Center www.sallystudio.org, where she has developed her own teaching philosophy rooted in creativity, discipline, and personal expression.
Under her leadership, her students have earned numerous national awards, helping establish her school as one of the top-ranked art institutions in the country. Many of her students have received national Gold Key and Silver Key honors in the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards. In recognition of her outstanding contributions to art education, Ms. Feng has been awarded the Scholastic Educator Golden Key Award twice.
Through both her art and her teaching, Ms. Feng continues to inspire students of all ages to discover their own voices and embrace creativity with confidence. As the Director of Sally Studio Art Center, she is devoted to nurturing the next generation of young artists and fostering a supportive yet challenging environment where students grow not only as skilled creators but also as thoughtful, curious individuals.
